As Beloved Children: The Spiritual Practice of Forgiveness

Paul writes, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you. Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children, and live in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. ”  (Ephesians 4:29-5:2) Let’s be honest. When it comes to forgiving others as generously as we have been forgiven, we struggle–especially when the ones who have wounded us haven’t apologized or recognized their sin. How do we practice imitating God in extending love and grace to others? What does it mean to forgive as we have been forgiven? Join us on retreat as together we explore the spiritual practice of forgiveness, both receiving it for ourselves and extending it to others.

Though the event is being hosted by New Zealand, it is open to people worldwide. Please note it will be from 5pm-10pm Eastern on Friday, June 26 (9am-2pm Saturday, June 27 in NZ). Registration is open now. Click this link for more details.
